why i dislike the rain....
Rain sounds peaceful and comforting until you think about the people standing in it.
I know rain is considered a blessing. My religion says that prayers made during rainfall are heard, and I believe that. Rain is important for farmers, for nature, and for places that still depend on it for their daily lives. It truly is a miracle in many ways.
I also understand why people romanticise it so much. The idea of sitting with a cup of coffee, spending time with friends, family, or someone you love while it rains outside it does feel comforting. The atmosphere is peaceful, calm, and cosy.
But there is always another side to things that people often choose not to see.

Whenever it rains, I think about stray animals searching for shelter, confused and scared, not knowing where to go. Their already difficult living conditions become worse. The little food they manage to find gets washed away, and the places they sleep in become flooded and unsafe.
I think about delivery workers riding through heavy rain to avoid losing their livelihood. About street vendors standing beside soaked carts, hoping someone will still buy from them. About people who work daily wage jobs and cannot afford to “wait for the rain to stop” because missing one day of work means losing money they genuinely need.
I think that is why I can never fully romanticise rain the way others do.
I understand why people love it.
I understand the peace it brings, the memories attached to it, and the importance it holds spiritually and naturally. Rain is truly a blessing. But blessings, too, can arrive differently depending on where someone is standing.
Perhaps I do not dislike the rain itself.
I just cannot ignore the fact that the same rain that feels peaceful to some can feel harsh and unforgiving to others.

I feel the same thing when it snows. Especially then. Even our love for nature is determined by where we stand, whether we have a safe roof above us. That might sound cruel, but that's the truth.
Where I live we get alot of rain. It can be depressing after awhile
